Decided to start seriously writing….

However I’m not sure what I’m going to say, so be prepared for this to be full of spontaneity. Like today, for instance, I really don’t have a topic picked out. But I did want to update on my leveling.
I now have 3 80s. My druid has now went Feral/Restoration. I like it, but now with all of the friends I’ve made I don’t get to tank very often. My shaman is now Restoration/Elemental at 80 and in nicer gear than my Druid. (Not for long mind you.) Samanthah, my paladin, is now 80 with okay heroics gear. I just don’t get enough time to play her. My death knight is now 72. I decided shortly after that to forget doing anything but leveling her professions. I now have a level 67 Mage which I’m having trouble deciding if I really like or not. Finally, last is my 51 shadow Priest which I don’t really like at all I just wanted for the cool-downs for my tailoring.
So all in all you can see I’ve been busy! As a matter of fact I’ll probably be logging in soon to check my mail, clean my bags, and get to work doing whatever it is I’m doing today.
Before I go, I would like to add this picture to the blog so that if for some reason my guild mate comes by he can see it too.

Dear WoW – I missed you.

After a grueling 3 months of playing Guild Wars because I couldn’t take being by myself playing any longer, I’m pretty sure I’m going to announce returning to WoW. I admit, I was almost sure I wasn’t going to return. But after last night’s “OMG Help me please” plea from a friend of mine I logged into game on one of his accounts to help him find his way to UBRS.
I realized at that moment that I wanted to return. I wanted to go back BAD. As I have made friends in GW I don’t know how I’m going to go about getting around them to go back to WoW. Because they seem to think they are my stipend of friends and that they matter. (In ways yes they do.) But I think I’m ready to go back, and in some ways, with a semi-clean slate.
I’ve been seriously considering switching from Horde to Alliance, but at the same time I realize that it would be nearly impossible to level all of my characters that I loved so much back. So I was highly enthused when the announcement of a Faction Transfer was announced. I can see now that this is probably going to be good for me.

Although, on a side note, my friends guildies… Are shall we say… Very new in most cases to the game. Which is alright… Something I will have to adjust to. So I guess my question for the night is, when I go back… What do I reroll on the horde to level until the transfer option becomes available. I’m thinking maybe my mage.

Profession Powerleveling

Hello there world! I know its been quite a while since I’ve posted. I’m not going to lie. I forgot my password and was too lazy to log into my e-mail till today.

Today’s topic: Profession Powerleveling

As much as we all want to admit we made the right choice with leveling a profession the first time, at least 10% of us decide it was a dumb idea somewhere along the way.  And they know who they are. 

I’m going to raise my hand and say I’m one of that 10%.  As a matter of fact, with 7 characters total, I’ve done it a total of twice. (I think.)

My most recent revelation included the notion of my shaman wearing Engineering goggles and riding around in that sweet looking helicopter.  Yep, I fell for it.  I couldn’t shake it out of my mind and ended up giving up and just started gathering mats for my powerleveling of Engineering.   Now realize she had Mining and Skinning to begin with so this wasn’t that much of a stretch..  And I was using her to help level my Death Knight’s Blacksmithing.  (Which is slowly climbing towards 300.  (Insert sigh of relief here.)

So I’m not completely against profession powerleveling guides, as a matter of fact the guide at: http://www.wowguideonline.com/ is the one I’m currently using to powerlevel my Engineering. First night was from 1 to approximately 150ish. Night 2 was spent from 150-190ish. (At this point I was out of those said mats that I had farmed up prior.) Not bad for 2 nights of work. And it was relatively cheap!  Yay!  I think I may have spent 100g now on it.  That’s without the training of course. 

Not only am I using that guide for my engineering I was really inspecting the guide for blacksmithing as well.  That guide turned out to help me already as well, considering I was pretty well lost as to what to create next.  As a huge goal for me was to get to 280 to go out to Hellfire and pick up the 375 skillups I noticed it had mentioned a Weaponsmith Only Item for 5 points, 3 of which I had already! So I ran to Silithus to go farm the 8 Core of Earth for the other 2.  After 2 hrs the first night I got fed up with farming it and went on to other things, but had picked up 4 of those 8 I needed. Tonight I’ve managed to pick up the rest of them.  Took even less time tonight than it did the night prior.  I have to just LOVE that random drop rate.   In the process I picked up approx 75 Solid Stones which I used for my engineering. (Kill two birds with one stone why don’t ya?) 

So instead of struggling to mine the Mithril I needed to continue leveling my Engineering now I can leasurely mine it as I’m out in Silithus taking my time to pick up all of that Thorium I needed for my blacksmith.  Who at this second is 285/375.

Now on a side note, I want to write a little bit about my brand new guild!  About 2 weeks ago there was a group of people that I had pugged a raid or two with that left their guild and joined the one I was involved with at the time.  After a drama-filled episode of spontaneous retarded crap, they moved on to Carnage.  Which was okay for everyone but about 3 of us who were very upset about the change in how the guild was being managed anyway.  Within 5 days of them leaving, myself and 2 of the officers had left as well.. I’ve not seen that the last officer had gotten into Carnage as of yet but myself and the other officer are now.  Its a good guild.  So now when you visit Fizzcrank-US you will see my druid’s tag as: Feilena the Hallowed <Carnage> (I like it.)  If you are interested in learning more about my new guild please visit: http://www.carnage-fizzcrank.com/ .

Busy, busy.

I’ve been busy this week trying to get more levels on Samanthah and Ilnae.  Sam doesn’t look very promising so I know that’s going to be a slow haul.  Ilnae however seems to be leveling okay, if she had a bit more stam that is.  But I digress.  I met a pretty nice mage a few days back, and I’ve been chatting it up with him in Ventrilo.  He seems nice enough.  Feels like I can say “Finally, I’m meeting people on the server.” 

I don’t have a whole lot to say this post.  I think that’s mostly because I’m exausted tonight.

While staring at those little health bars, remember that your tank and healer determine how easy your fight is.

Sam’s 70! Finally!

Well this took longer than I thought it would this morning but it was all well worth it.  Samanthah is now 70! I went to the trainer to pick up the new stuff and I about fell out of my chair when I saw that I was getting Avenging Wrath. So I had to take a pic.

Gotta case of the profession blues.

Yes, I admit to having a horrible case of the profession leveling blues.  As I have one of literally every profession in the game, I find myself using an enormous amount of time to level those professions.  So I decided to post a few comments I have on some of these professions.

Alchemy- Northrend Alchemy Research being on a 3 day cooldown is fine. Randomly generating a potion/elixir/flask that makes me no money and is worthless, is not fine.  Elixir of Water Walking Anyone?

Herbalism- I honestly thought this was going to be much more difficult to level.  It was actually plesantly enjoyable. Now using my only herbalist to supply my scribe is not enjoyable. It just isn’t.

Enchanting- Now I hadn’t made it all the way through BC on the character that had the enchanting, so I have been pretty well crying over this particular profession.  However, After much luck and a lot of research I managed to hit 350 and I’m now sporting some okay leveling enchants from Northrend. Woot.

Jewelcrafting- I swear this is literally the EASIEST profession to level.  Yeah, prospecting can be annoying.  But in general, this is an easy profession and it makes a lot of money in some situations.  At level 69 I’m over 400 Jewelcrafting, actually to the point where I have to level to obtain better recipes. Woot. So that’s pretty well a capped profession until I get some more experience.

Blacksmithing- Oh… my… lord… No no no no. If you want this profession, do not put it on a death knight, make sure to pick up mining and hope that you are lucky enough to not rip your hair out while leveling it. Current Blacksmithing Level 200-220. Mithril bars x 15 an item is rediculous.

Inscription- I can say that being a scribe is actually nice I like it. However, I was not intelligent in my decision making and stuck my Death Knight with Blacksmithing and Inscription. So I find myself having migranes while leveling her professions.

Mining – I have to say I haven’t hit 450 yet, but this should happen soon.  I love having the 2 gathering professions on my Elemental Shaman.

Skinning – I’m getting close to 450 on this as well. Yay. That should make powerleveling the leatherworking simple. Whew.

Tailoring- Now I don’t do a whole lot on my tailor, or at least I haven’t.  She’s in mageweave or something.  I’ll get around to her eventually.

Engineering- I think this is a rinse and repeat of the Blacksmithing profession, not even 75 on this yet, but believe me, I’m going to get a powerleveling guide, because I’m quite lazy.

Leatherworking- This is also a low level alt that I have this on.  I’ve leveled this profession a little ways once before. Should be simple with a powerleveling guide.

I suppose I’m done with my impressions. Back to leveling Samanthah, who btw is 69 and now in Northrend. I had the Cobalt Armor Set made today for her as well as a Saronite Defender, so I think I’ll be set at 73 for some uber tanking.

When she hits 70 I’ll make sure and post a pic of her in the brand new gear!! It will probably be its own post.

So when the profession blues get you, grab some Pepsi and turn on some good music and go level an alt! Seems to work for me.

Enough is Enough.

I finally got fed up last night and quit that guild which I was struggling to survive in on the allliance. I think I would rather pug a 10 man Naxxramas than deal with the craziness that is that guild.  Not only did I leave this morning, but one of their best raiders left last night. I hope that they know what they caused right there. I’m sure that it won’t be long before they will be recruiting again. I’ll make sure to mention in trade if I see it they use a really strange DKP system and if you are interested in joining don’t expect to get loot for several weeks.

I honestly couldn’t believe that I could just log in and quit so carefree. Normally, it’s something where I fight with the concept of leaving people that I like.  There really wasn’t anyone I truely liked.  Well, besides Duckwad.  I’m just glad I did it early in the morning before anyone was really on to witness me leave.  I like it quiet when I leave. 

So what’s the real reason I left? Simple. When you log in and you can feel your IQ going down points listening to them talk in guild chat about whatever may possibly be important to a bunch of young kids, then yes, there may possibly be something wrong with that guild.

When I started raiding I got into the habit of being 15 minutes early to a raid, at the stone, waiting on invite.  Last night there was a “duelapalooza” instead of people getting their crap in gear and talking about doing what was going on that night or not.  No, contrary to popular belief, I didn’t join your raiding guild to duel people. PvP and PvE in WoW are two completely different things. 

In other news, my Blood Elf Death Knight has been stalled leveling because I want her professions caught up to her level. In other words, this may be a while because I have really no money and no way of catching those things up. 

Alliance side, Ilnae (Draenai Shaman) hit 76 last night. I’m actually relieved to see her level as I haven’t really had time to play any of my characters with all of that horrible hecktic raiding that is getting me nowhere going on.  Samanthah (Draenai Protection Paladin) managed to get just a few bars from 68.  All in all most of my alliance characters are suffering due to the fact I’m just plain bored. Simple as that. I suppose that may very well be remedied with me quitting that guild.  So all in all I think its just a good thing. 

So I suppose that I will end all of this ranting on a nicer note. (Yes, even I am surprised that I can do that today.)

Alliance through and through?

Well, I’ve found myself throughly confused the last 24 hours or so as to the true identity of where I stand within the WoW world.  As much as I enjoy my Night Elves and Draenai, could I learn to love a horde? Truely? Answer: This may be possible.  Tonight Slig and I went out for a good ole fashioned world pvp run. Considering I knew where the alliance Elders were for the Lunar Festival, I took the time to help her get hers.  We had quite a blast and I think its something neither of us will ever forget.

I’m still pretty well on the rocks with this raiding guild on alliance side anyway. Their idea of a raid is just not my thing. I would think that if I got one of my horde high enough to pwn face in a raid I’d be set to go out with my awesome peeps from 4thehorde!

Of course I would be abandoning (sorta) all of the work I’d done on the alliance side. Which is where I’m sorta crying inside.   Its just a totally different feeling to look at those characters in disgust.  I’ll just thank wonderful Yinzo for ruining this.  Because it is truely his fault.  We would not have came to Fizzcrank had he not sat there picking at me to go with it.

But I digress, can I ever truely be a horde?  I think so. I’m starting to get a pure hatred of alliance. They honestly make me angry to the core.  And besides, I thought that there was pie on the horde side!! Better be chocolate pudding pie. >.>

Its strange though, because Yinzo was also playing horde before his account expired. -shrug- Guess its just time for things to change around here. I have to admit, I will still be on my alliance every once in a while. As a matter of fact I’m logging in right now to clean up the bank etc and sell things.  Just makes no sense to me to abandon what I’ve played for over 2 years. I guess I need to consider another alliance raiding guild. But I have to admit I probably will not find another one as good as Hunter Alliance was to me. They really were very casual and did a lot of extensive progression.  I miss them all.

So I set here throughly confused again, as much as it seems like my mind is clear, its not. Its just not the same anywhere and I don’t particularly like the direction things are taking.

I guess my mind is empty now.

Lol. Well hello there friendly blog readers.

I, am Feilena. I’m the tour guide.  Considering this is my very first blog we’ll see how often I remember to update it.

Welcome to Not Another Druid Blog, the place where I rant about crappy guildies and weird raid loot systems and in general enjoy my WoW experience differently.   At the current moment servers have been down for approximately 6 hours and I’m pretty well a bored tree. lol.  I’m sure that the guys from For The Horde will eventually realize I have this blog and stop by to laugh at my crazy ranting.

Whomever came up with that loot system.. Thank you, you need someone to shove a staff/polearm/2-handed mace up your scrawny behind.
